The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often slough through). Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to know whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best option. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. These bots also have various additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but they often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls which makes it a good option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem which many robot vacuums can really fail. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it can be accomplished with relative ease. It also has an impressive LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't have as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round mop and robot vacuum that's worth the premium price price.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are other options available. Many of the eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive however it comes with many more features, like stairs and a fully-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.
